For no particular reason, I was perusing the Top 100 Billboard Singles for 2006. I was stunned to see that “Bad Day” was the #1 single for last year. I abhor this song. Primarily because the chord sequence and the melody of the chorus totally rip off Faith Hill’s “Breathe”. They’re virtually the same song, except Faith Hill’s song is better. How can you so blatantly mimic another song and be the #1 song of the year? Ridiculous.
Also got to listen to the new David Crowder, “Remedy”. I was disappointed. It’s a perfectly serviceable album. But “A Collision” was phenomenal; a revolutionary album. I suppose anything is a letdown after that, but yeah, the new one isn’t as creative or interesting.
