So there's this event that happened a long time ago where the leadership of Korea massacred a bunch of Catholics, beheading them. So many that the ground flowed with blood. I can't remember the exact story but it was extremely sad. Anyway, this statue kind of memorializes the event, the position of the heads marking how they died.
