This is our tour guide. Like I said, he spoke an untelligible Taegu style Korean. And the thing is, he would not stop talking at all. On the bus I mean, as we drove from sight to sight. It's really not necessary to talk the entire time. Just say important stuff, and let us rest.
This is the odd thing - he scolded us. Basically saying how he works hard to say educational stuff and we just sleep. I didn't actually know it was happening since I understood not a word, but Jieun reported this to me. Is that not odd? Scolding us right in front of our faces? I don't get Korean culture. He actually wasn't the only person to do that. We took this one boat ride (on which multiple people got sick and threw up - good times) and the guide on the boat also scolded us for not listening. Cuckoo.
Anyway, after the first day we got a new guide, this woman who mixed in entertaining stories about life on Cheju with silent time to let us rest. She was much better. I felt somewhat bad because with her we'd clap after she talked, while with him we tried desperately to fall asleep and zone him out, but what can you do.
