I like the Korean hanging out thing, you just go to a cafe, get snacks, and chat. I dunno if you can really do that here. At least not in the South Bay. Anyway, yeah, this is a place we went to and if you look carefully you see that there are couches. Great idea, very comfy.

Koreans have this obsession with shaved ice, it's served everywhere including Baskin Robbins. And it's pretty good actually, more or less depending on where you go. There are a couple varieties on the table. Also a bubble tea I got, the only one I could find in Korea. Taro. Absolutely disgusting. Also a chestnut cake which was delicious.

Should I write about this here? I dunno, why not. So it's interesting talking to Sangsoo about working in Korea. You can see why Korean-American males just kind of explode when they make that transition. They go from being a minority in the states, and let's be honest, kind of veiwed as being unmasculine and powerless, then they go to Korea and they find they're at the top of the social totem pole. Must be a heady feeling. I have no clue what it must be like for Korean-American females, going from relative freedom to relative subserviency. But yeah, interesting phenomenon.
