With my aunt and my cousin. You can kind of see the resemblance between my aunt and my mom, they're both pretty thin. Anyway, the last time I went to Korea I spent a week with my aunt, and my cousin was there only a couple days, so I kind of had to find ways to amuse myself. Not coincidentally, that's the summer I read the unabridged version of Les Miserables. I had time. Anyway, when we'd go to museums and stuff, I would read every single thing I could on the exhibits to kind of pass the time. Thing is, my aunt interpreted that as me being fascinated by Korean culture or something, so she promised that when I came again, she'd take me to the museum. So here we are, we only had a few hours to meet, and we went to the museum. The statues we're in front of represent the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac.

Not that anyone cares, but for lunch we had naeng kong gooksoo. Not a fan at all.

Sangmee is the only cousin I have in Korea, all the rest are in America. I always felt kind of bad for her, because you know, family is big in Korea, and she's an only child and has never had cousins around. Must be tough. As a side note, has anyone considered the long term implications of China's one child policy? Eventually no one will have any aunts, uncles, or cousins. That's just strange to think about.
