So this barbecue Marshall hooked us up with through a friend that worked for some city agency or something like that. A great barbecue, then we set up chairs so we could watch fireworks under the Brooklyn Bridge, right by the water where the Macy's fireworks boats were. Des already wrote about it, but it was awesome. An incredible view of the fireworks in a great setting, and not that crowded.

What I loved most though was the demographic of the barbecue, which was a lot of families. A side of New York I hadn't seen until then. I liked the flavor of that a lot.

Incidentally, that's the second outfit I saw Dolly with in two days. That doll has more fashion sense than I do.
