Me and Dave Hong at March for Jesus

Back when Pastor Dave was at KCPC we just seemed to do more stuff. Stuff like Walk Through The Bible. I think that's what it was. Anyway, this is another thing. One Sunday they tell us about this thing called March For Jesus, where people in cities throughout the world take this day to March For Jesus on the same day. It sounded like a pretty cool thing. I don't know how often they did it, but you know, it seemed cool, right? Like a worldwide church unity thing.

Anyway, KCPC was involved with the San Francisco march, so we went. Not many Stanford people went - only me, Dave, Dana Yip, her friend, and Keren Ji, that I can remember. But that's cool. It was a lot of fun, for me at least. They played this one praise album (the official album of March For Jesus) about a million times, and the thing about this album is that the songs were all in keys that normal people cannot sing in. I kid you not. So me and Dave, being the dorks we are, messed around and tried to sing it in the high keys. Ask him about "Crown Him."

Also cool were how there were so many different types of people there. Like a lot of different types of people, and lots of ethnicities there. At the very end we all gathered in a park and a bunch of people prayed in different languages, and it took forever because there were so many languages. But that was a very cool thing.

Not so cool was the fact that we were holding up traffic big time in the heart of the city, and all the motorists were getting very very angry. Oops, good witness there. I'm glad I'm holding a big banner that identifies me with the church while the motorists are getting so angry.

Anyway, it was kind of a motley type thing - a lot of the banners just kind of came apart and you just held whatever. Somehow me and Dave ended up holding this banner, representing the Korean churches in S.F, along with an old Korean guy wearing a Stanford hat and a big white guy. Random. Great pic.
